TEDxGVAGrad is YOUR platform to re-envision the future.

Student Corner

The Student Corner is an integral part of the main conference which allows students at the Geneva Graduate Institute to raise their voice on a global platform by giving short talks in a TED format. The Student Corner is an open space for sharing advanced knowledge, exchanging great ideas, and exploring possibilities for our common future.

Why apply?

  • Improve or develop your public speaking skills in an expert-led workshop for chosen student speakers

  • Participate in the spread of knowledge with your TED talk featured on the international TEDx YouTube Channel

  • Network with participating organisations and students

This year, the conference will harmonize discussions around rethinking the future and deconstructing knowledge. Students' talks are expected to stem from at least one of the general sub-themes: Climate and sustainability; peace and conflict; health; arts and culture; business and economics; and science and technology.

Please notice that there is a time limit of 5-8 minutes per talk. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email at gisa.tedx@graduateinstitute.ch. You must log in to the application form using your Geneva Graduate Institute email.

Creative Corner

The Creative Corner is a parallel event which allows students at the Geneva Graduate Institute to exhibit their art works in the Creative sessions. The Creative Corner is an open space to encourage the sharing of inspirational art created by the student body. This year, the conference will harmonize discussions around re-envisioning the future and deconstructing knowledge, which will be echoed within Creative Corner.

Creative work can be in any format including performance art (dance, music, and theatre), literary art (poetry, prose, drama) as well as visual art (painting, photography, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, etc).

TEDxGVAGrad is also partnering with the 2023 Geneva Sustainability Week on its Sustainability Exhibition. If you apply for the Exhibition, please note the theme is ‘sustainability’, meaning all art needs to portray a sustainable message or be made from sustainable materials. If you are submitting photography only, this work may be considered for the Sustainability Week Photography Contest shortlist (March 2023).
